Fabric Lock Boxes

The fabric lock boxes are available in two standard sizes: small and large (see below for dimensions). The soft sides are insulated with 1/4" foam. It has a zipper closure, a mesh envelope to contain refrigerant packs, and an adjustable strap for ease of courier handling during pickup activity. The optional zipper lock includes two matching keys, and the optional security strap, which is reinforced with a steel cord sewn into the strap, helps assure the sample will be safe and secure.

Standard color: Royal Blue Regency
Standard printing: Silver text with red biohazard symbol on one side only.
Options include: Zipper lock, security strap.
Customization: Any deviation from the standard stock configuration, which may include changes in color, size, design features (i.e. number of pockets), closure (i.e., Zipper, Velcro, buckle, etc.) and print.
Minimum customization order quantity is 24 bags.

Metal Lock Boxes

This metal lock box is constructed of 24 gauge cold rolled steel and painted with a powder coat finish for excellent strength and durability. It is insulated on the inside with foam to assist with preserving the integrity of the specimens. The standard lock box has a hinged front door that rotates down 90° for convenient access and use as a temporary tray. It is supplied with a lock and two matching keys for security.

Standard printing: Reflex blue text, red biohazard symbol.
Optional straps: Under the door, over the door, extra long over the door strap.
Customization: Any deviation from the standard stock configuration, which may include changes in color, size, design features, closure and print.

Plastic Lock Boxes

This sturdy lock box is made of high impact polystyrene (HIPS). Made for hanging on the door using the optional straps, it offers the timesaving convenience of a viewing window and a hinged door that opens down for ease of use. It is supplied with a lock and two matching keys for added security.

Standard printing: Reflex blue text, red biohazard symbol on front side only.

ConstanTemp® Specimen Insulator for Lock Boxes

• Maintains ambient, refrigerated and frozen specimen integrity
• Holds 6 standard blood or urine tubes with heavy duty zip closure
• Custom printing and colors available

The ConstanTemp® features a fabric based construction and Volara insulation combined with specially formulated gel that holds temperature for extended periods of time. For frozen specimens, place ConstanTemp® in the freezer overnight or until it reaches -20°C. When the specimen is frozen, insert it into the pouch and place in the lock box or transport. It will stay frozen over a period of 19 hours at an ambient temperature of 22°C. For refrigerated specimens, place the ConstanTemp® into the refrigerator overnight or until it reaches 2°C and it is ready to use. It will maintain 2-8°C in either a hot or cold environment for hours. For room temperature or ambient specimens, leave the ConstanTemp® on the counter in a 20-25°C room and palce the specimen inside. It will maintain this temperature for hours. ConstanTemp® is an ideal source of protection for maintaining specimen integrity prior to courier pick up in lock boxes or in courier transit.
